Saudi Arabia plans to build Mirror Line costing up to $1tn

As per the report of WSJ, which gained access to confidential planning documents, the skyscrapers will feature mirrored sides, and bisect mountains and desert, running all the way to the coast and into the Red Sea.

This project will feature a high-speed train operating under the buildings, vertical farming, a sports stadium, besides a yacht marina.

The two buildings will be up to 1,600ft tall.

The Mirror Line is part of the vision announced by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman earlier to build a desert-city called Neom.

To feed the communities, vegetables will be harvested autonomously and then transferred into community canteens and co-living kitchens.

The residents of this project will be required to pay subscription to have served food, according to the report.

As per the plan, a sports stadium would be up to 1,000ft above the ground while a yacht marina will be located underneath an arch in the two parallel buildings.

NEOM is Prince Mohammed's plan to transform an unpopulated region of the country into a high-tech semi-autonomous state.
